My boys.

I'm so crazily busy trying to finish this book for the 10th March that I haven't had a moment to blog.  I also haven't picked up my camera much for the same reason.  Once the deadline is no longer looming I can get back on track.  In the meantime here are a few shots knocking around from the holiday.  Mainly of 'my boys'.

Further tales from Yorkshire

Yorkshire

We've had such a lovely week in Yorkshire.  The sun has shone and we've visited some amazing places.  The Yorkshire Sculpture Park on a crisp sunny day was the highlight.  Swimming every day and a new friend for Ottilie called Jo Jo.  Feeding the animals in the morning and egg collecting and grading too.

Vintage wedding book being published.

So it's been quite a long time in the making but my very clever and good friend Jo Millington http://joannamillingtonweddings.blogspot.co.uk/ and I are having a book published in October this year.  It's called The Complete Vintage Wedding Guide which is already available for pre order on Amazon.  Written by moi and photographed by Jo. http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Complete-Vintage-Wedding-Guide/dp/1446303578/ref=tmm_hrd_title_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1360919293&sr=8-3.  Very exciting.   It's taken a year and a half of slog, photoshoots, writers block and good fun.  It's going to be released in the UK and the US and it's going to be SO BEAUTIFUL even though I'm a tiny bit biased.  Soon you will be able to look at some images and text on Amazon so I'll keep you posted. Whooopeeeee.

Loafing, labels and lunch

I have been very neglectful of my blog these past few days.  A fabulous weekend away and lots of plans on the horizon have meant little time on my hands, but I grabbed the camera today to take a couple of Agatha pics.  We have been to the doctors this morning and they think she may be anemic so we have some medicine.  We decided that the bottle was very dull so we've decorated it together!  Although it looks DISGUSTING and it took 10 minutes and a fruit pastel to administer it.
Then it was time for loafing and cheese on toast.
It just dawned on me as I was loading these pictures that perhaps decorating a medicine bottle was irresponsible.  Oh dear, I might have to take the labels off again.  Life is fraught with dilemma.

Puzzles, pens and luggage tags

Too much work to do, and not sure where to start.  Have set Agatha up on the desk next to me with her colouring pens so that she doesn't keep asking me to go into the other room for things.  A good idea in theory, but now she is singing very loudly and asking me which colour to use next.  She has just waved a pen in my face and shouted 'THIS IS A FELT TIP PEN'.  Yes darling I know, thank you so much..........................ho hum.  Perhaps time to give in and try again later on.....with wine.
Jigsaw puzzles are featuring heavily in our house at the moment.  I just thought these pieces looked pretty on an old china plate, and this is my filing cabinet, suitably labelled.

Agatha, lunch and Oli

Agatha and Crespedia
Lunch face
Sometimes my day just goes so fast I can hardly think straight.  Today was one of those days.  Apart from a lovely interlude with my friend Oli and his little girl Flo.  Oli is an uber talented designer http://www.olivermilnersmith.com who designed my very own website www.prettyvintage.co.uk.  We drank hot choc and talked at 100 miles an hour, but at least we were sitting down.

Why does the sun shine?

Jeans day

Ok so this may not seem like a big deal, but my lovely girl Ottilie NEVER EVER wears trousers.  I think the last time we managed to wriggle her into a pair she was about 3.  If it were up to me she would be in jeans and tshirts, but I have had to relent and buy dress after skirt after dress.  Today Ottlie went to school wearing her jeans and I just had to capture it on film. Yipppeeeeeee.  Now of course she won't ever wear a dress again and I shall rue the day.  Hey ho.

Ballet

Agathas first day at ballet.

Rainy and windy

And the rain came and the wind blew, so we painted and made wooden towers and unwrapped new brown boots and ate chicken stew and all felt well with the world.
