Happy Easter
Happy Easter. A ball seems to have momentarily distracted my children from their chocolate mountain. Although Rufus cuddling the ball seems to be the main objective.

Chilly football, chocolate and craft.
Sometimes you get together with a group of lovely friends and it feels like the perfect ingredients are all there. Today was one such day hosted by Caroline and Tom and their two lovely children Oscar and Isla. A fabulous Easter Egg hunt with clues, football in the garden despite the snow, a frenzied collection of the most obscene amount of chocolate eggs, homemade bolognaise and a craft table to die for, not to mention a groovy fridge and some excellent jumping in the garden from Beth. What more is there for a chilly Easter Saturday I ask you? Thank you for the best Easter shindig we've had in years.

Beautiful biscuits
I have been researching for my book for nearly 18 months now and have come accross some people doing the most exquisite things, but this company takes the biscuit - if you will forgive me the terrible pun! I honestly honestly cannot believe the intricacy and beauty of these biscuits created by Sarah Lawrenson at www.queenofheartscookiecompany.co.uk.
I'm not sure if they should be eaten or framed. Either way they make me go weak at the knees. What a clever girl you are Sarah.

Chocolate Torte and Easter cups
Chocolate Torte is decorated and ready to eat. Although I've a horrible feeling it's a bit overcooked! Still, it's given me the chance to use my edible rose petals. Off for an Easter Egg hunt today at our lovely friends Caroline and Tom. Can't wait.
Oh and these lovely cups are our Easter present to the children this year. Firstly they don't hold too much, and secondly I'm mad about this lovely lettering. Actually spotted them in the Coop free magazine!

Baking baking baking
Butter and sugar ready for creaming.
My salter weighing scales which are almost on their last legs. My husband bought some digital ones which I have hidden in horror. Accuracy is only partly the point!
Lovely biscuit dough.
Cut cut cut
Freshly baked from the oven with a heavenly aroma.
Easter biscuits are ready for our Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow.
